Some pictures of Six Flags Over Texas. Source: Lone Star Thrills.
Go to this website to see video of the Titan rollercoaster. Featuring Titan, the tallest, fastest and largest full circuit roller coaster in the Six Flags chain. Take a ride on this monster creation from Swiss desginers Giovanola. People, I have been on this roller-coaster. The sign at the entrance said that it would be a two hour wait in line. Well it was not. It only took an hour and 30 mintunes. But, we were standing in the employee parking lot. That is how long the line was. This is my favorite ride so far. Anything that has loops and goes upside down is my kind of ride. Speed is a good thing too. I got to ride it again this year during summer and this kid threw up all over the place on the ride. It took 45 minutes for them to clean it up. But I was the next to ride. Poor kid. Just can't keep anything down:-)
My Six Flags Over Texas is getting a new ride. Superman: Tower of Power photos posted to Lone Star Thrills.

    Friday, September 20, 2002

I think Lore is in this movie, Data's brother.
I think that the special effects in the Trek Movie are going to be the best they have ever used. And it is all done on a mac.
Looks to me that Captain Picard and Data are on the bridge when the Enterprise hits the ship.
Ok, it looks like the bridge gets pretty beat up in this movie. I have played it frame to frame and finally got the right one. When you see the bridge crew getting thrown around there is a guy who says no and flies out what appears to be where the front of the viewscreen once was. It is not Riker or Data. He is wearing red, Data wears gold or yellow and it is not Riker. This also could be another scene from a different scene. They mix it up for the trailer to confuse people.
Ok, I have gone frame by frame for this one scene. It is the one where Rker screams. They look to be in some sort of round cage. That would be Riker and one of the bad guys because you can see the head is what with no hair and he is wearing one of the bad guys uniforms. I think it is the bad guy who gets sucked out into space. I from what I can tell, I don't think they intended for the Enterprise to hit the other ship. Why? Because before that shot you see one of the smaller ships breaks its wing tips and it hits part of the suacer section then part of the warp nacelle. Now, that might have caused them to hit the other ship. But, that does not explain the big explotion at the end of the trailer.
aawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. That pretty much sums it up for the new Star Trek Nemesis Trailer that I just downloaded. I think this is going to be one of the best movies they have ever done. From what it looks like, the Enterprise sets a collision course and this time they really do it. And, Riker screams, no and it looks like he gets sucked out into space. I think I have figured out that the bad guy is a clone of Picard's mind. I know that sounds stipud, but watch the trailer. I will be in the theater on December 13th. Man, this could be the one where it all ends.

CompUSA is currently offering a $100 trade-in rebate towards any new Pocket PC when you bring in your old PDA. The offer doesn't specify what kinds of "old PDAs" qualify, or whether you'll have to part with it in order to get the rebate (we assume not). That can net you a 32MB Audiovox Maestro for $199.99 or a Compaq iPAQ H3835 for $399.99 (which includes two additional rebates). Need a keyboard to go with the iPAQ? Get the Stowaway for just $49.99 after rebates.

I just got done watching The Lord of the Rings. My friend is staying over while his parents are away on business. He gave me a coupon to get 2 movies or games and get a third for free. So, I got two xbox games and I let him choose the movie. I really am not interesting in this kind of movie. But, I watched anyway. The CGI is out of this world incredible. I'm sure that the landscapes are not real, but they sure were neat. I can't believe the movie ended like it did. Now, I am going to have to see the second one. This movie is not for young children! Scary.

Well I finally got to go to Six Flags today. It was so much fun. I have to say that the Titan ride was my favorite. It reaches 255 feet above the earth the muscular steel superstructure features one of the world's mightiest drops at hyper speeds of 85 miles an hour. I only got to go on it two times today. But that is alot for this ride. There was not alot of people there today and on some of the rides like the Titan, we just walked all the way up to it. No lines. I remember last year when it came out and we went to get on it and the sign said it would take 5 hours to wait in line. The line was all the way back in the Six Flags employee parking lot. But, it only took an hour and 30 minutes. Not bad. The other rides that are a blast are the Texas Giant, Mr. Freeze, and the Batman Ride.
No sleep for me. Been up since well, yesterday.
3 hours until Six Flags. I can't wait. But, you look at the weather map for Texas right now it does not look very good. Been trying to go for 4 months people.
I got a Referring URL from google.com It is funny. Look who else is on this page. Oh, yeah, by the way I have this fuction now on my website. Someone from Leoville.com visited my website too.

Pocket PC's and science fiction have been intertwined from the beginning. How many of us have faked out a unsuspecting neighbor that our Pocket PC is really a tricorder from Star Trek? Wasn't it funny when they believed you and told all their friends? With the advent of Star Trek Nemesis coming in December, we will all have make the proper equipment modifications. Wouldn't want Junior to think our technology is so 21st century. watch the movie trailer

My new domain name now works. It is jimhwilliams.com. I still need to get the masking feature for it so you don't see my ungly long url.

Man, the people at GoDaddy.com are fast. They answered my question about the mask feature for my domain name for me. I will have to get that too. But it is not very much, just $5.95.
I have registered my own domain name. I am very excited about this. Alot of changes are coming. But, I have a question. I did not get the mask feature. Does that mean when they type my new domain name and when my page finally loads is it going to still show my old long url? Should I get the mask feature? I am new to this. Well, we will see in 48 hours! Hope it works. Saturday I am going to Six Flags, can't wait!

I got the Star Trek The Wrath Of Khan Director's Edition DVD today. It is full of new footage. Well, it is stuff that they deleted from the first version. Makes you wonder why they did it to begin with.
Well, I have registered my own domain name. I will tell more later.

    Monday, September 02, 2002

I have decided to buy my own domain. But, I cannot get my name. That is ok. I am also thinking about getting someone to host my website. It would be nice not to have all the popups. I also could do some more advance coding. So, things are going to change around here. I have already opened up my store. I don't plain to make anything from it. But, it is there. So maybe something good could come out of it.

    Dell eyes "white box" market
update Dell Computer is seeking alliances with mom-and-pop shops to further its growth in the PC market.
Just a month ago I did not have a pocket pc. I have one now. Just a couple of weeks ago I did not have a xbox. I have one now.
    That is an example.
If I want something like a laptop, pocket pc, or xbox I will go out and buy it myself. I will not ask someone to use there stuff. That and I live in Texas. But, the search for a new laptop continues. I went to Winbook.com last night and was impressed with there selection. Also, micropro.com has some good prices. But, I like the Dell name and brand. I think I will go to Gateway and look there....
    Rumors: Segway isn't really Ginger
I want a laptop. I am looking at the Dell 2650. I went to Dell's website and customized a 8200 and when I got done it came out to be $1,868. I'm sorry that just won't be happening. For you guys that have a Dell 8100 you are lucky. You know who you are! I had a Fujitsu. I sold it on ebay. I guess it was a good thing to do, it had some problems. And today my mother shocked me. She said that she is going to go look at trucks. When my mother talks like that you know something is going to happen down the road. She said she wanted to look at the Ford Rangers, Dodge Dakota, and then Toyota.

I wish I still had my laptop. Well, it did have problems and I am glad I don't have to worry about it anymore. I just like having a computer that was mobile. My next purchase will be a laptop. I don't care if it is used or new. My next laptop will have a dvd and a video out on it. That would be great.

    A Note from Patrick Norton
Hey, it's Friday! We're not airing a live show today. But that doesn't mean we're taking the day off. Actually, we're hard at work, preparing for our new set construction.

In case you haven't heard, we're getting a new set. So while it's being built, we're going to do the show from the Tech Live set. On Friday, we're having rehearsal on the Tech Live set, so we're not totally clueless when we move. Set construction starts the first week in September.

    Have a good weekend!

Well, today I went to Tyler to just have a day of fun with friends and to purchase an xbox for my birthday that is on 6th. Will it was not fun and it was a complete waste of my time. First, they did not go anywhere they just wanted to stay at home all day and play on the computer. I do that at my house. Second, before I left, I went to Wal-Mart to get some airtime for my cell phone and had to come home to activate it. That was a waste of time and money. The phone will not be active for another 48 hours. So, I get to Best Buy, after months of wanting an xbox and it is finally going to happen. Well, I don't have an xbox. I would have if I did not spend half of my money on that airtime for my phone. I just don't feel like I have friends. Well, I am going to check out ebay for an Xbox.

Has Bill Gates made the switch?
Drinking Too Much Water Can Kill You: Report

"A new review of three deaths of US military recruits highlights the dangers of drinking too much water. The military has traditionally focused on the dangers associated with heat illness, which has killed a number of healthy, young enrollees, Colonel John W. Gardner of the Office of the Armed Forces Medical Examiner in Rockville, Maryland told Reuters Health. However, pushing the need to drink water too far can also have deadly consequences, he said. "The risk has always been not drinking enough," Gardner said. "And then people who aren't medically attuned get overzealous," inducing recruits to drink amounts of water that endanger their health, he added."

    Wrecked Exotics

    http://www.wreckedexotics.com/

{Better get Maaco} Okay, admit it - seeing some rich dude's fancy BMW get smashed beyond recognition makes you feel pretty good, doesn't it? I mean, as long as no one was hurt. Well, Wrecked Exotics is filled with photos of expensive automobiles that have been totaled, smashed, crushed, or smooshed (some have even been completely mangled). There's even a message board where you can discuss the wrecks with other auto enthusiasts. "No matter what your preference; Lamborghini Diablo, Ferrari 360 Modena, Dodge Viper, or even the 'high end' exotics; Mclaren F1, Bugatti, Ferrari F50... your desire to see these fine exotics destroyed will be satisfied within this Web site." Something tells me I'll never own a car expensive enough to be considered for this hall of shame.

    Wednesday, June 12, 2002

This is a new blog. I had to get a new one to get the Archive to work.
Well once again I find myself in the public library using their high speed internet which I love. If I get this job at Wal-Mart I will have money. I plain to use some of it to get DSL. I want high speed internet access in my life. The one thing that I enjoy doing on the internet is watching streaming video. That is hard to do on 56K dial-up modem. Plus I would like to download mp3s at lighting speed. Last night I downloaded a 38MB P.O.D. video and it took 4 hours. But I got it and turned it into a videoCD. Now if I really wanted to spend money I would buy a wireless rounter and have all my gadgets connected through it. I would love to get a 802.11b card for my HP Jornada and be over at the church or anywhere in the coverage area and be able to get on the internet. Today I am going to see some good friends in Corsicana so I am looking forward to that. Original Post Date for this blog was at 3:24 PM on Tuesday, June 11, 2002
